Notifications & Recommendations
I used to ignore most notifications, but lately I’ve noticed some apps actually send things that catch my attention at the right time. Like I’ll get a recommendation and end up opening the app just to check it out, even if I didn’t plan to. At the same time, too many alerts still feel annoying and I just mute them. Do you actually pay attention to notifications and suggestions, or do you usually just swipe them away without thinking?

I’ve kind of changed my approach over time. Before, I would disable almost everything because it felt like constant noise. But now I leave notifications on for a few apps that seem to understand what I’m into. When the recommendations are relevant, it actually feels useful rather than intrusive. I read something similar here: https://www.daylox.com/blog/why-mobile-entertainment-apps-feel-more-personal-than-desktop-platforms/ and it explained why some apps feel more in sync with your habits. I’d say it’s worth tweaking settings instead of turning everything off completely, because when it works well, it really saves time.
