Hey everyone, hoping someone can help me out. I'm planning a fairly big renovation on my house in Nanaimo, BC, and I'm looking for a good general contractor. I've had some bad experiences in the past with contractors who were unreliable or did shoddy work, so I'm really trying to do my due diligence this time. Does anyone have any personal recommendations? Someone who's reliable, does quality work, and is reasonably priced would be ideal. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Finding a good contractor can definitely be stressful. I recently went through a similar process, also in Nanaimo. One thing I found helpful was checking out some online directories to get a sense of who's operating in the area. A simple search can point you in the right direction. For instance, I used something like Roofing Contractors in Duncan, BC to get a list of potential contractors in Nanaimo. From there, I checked out their websites (if they had one) and looked for reviews. It still takes some work to narrow it down, but it's a good starting point. Good luck with your reno!
